Technology has come a long way in helping military spouses find a bit more flexibility with employment but that doesn’t mean the challenge has been overcome. Moving every few years presents obstacles for traditional employers while the unique stressors of being in a military family can be upskilling and expanding professional capabilities uniquely difficult.

This dynamic is well understood by military spouses, but not so much by others. As veterans and/or seasoned military spouses ourselves, we have a firm grasp on how these issues play out. This is why The ASCEND Collective wants to help.

Our years of experience supporting veterans, diversely-abled folk, and our justice-involved neighbors in addition to our own lived experiences is why we’re uniquely positioned to assist. We can help maneuver those parts of life traditionally seen as stumbling blocks into assets, guide the process of career searching, and especially help upskill and expand professional certifications.

We know there are a lot of reasons a military spouse might struggle to have a career. We also know there are a lot of ways to make a career happen, if that’s the desire.

So if you didn’t know, now you know! The ASCEND Collective is standing by to make that dream a reality.
