Charities and nonprofits have been working to end veteran houselessness for many years and as we shifted into 2025, we were met with amazing news: homeless and unsheltered vets dropped 19% last year!

However, overall homelessness in America rose 18%, a disheartening concern. Though countless circumstances contribute to families and individuals losing a home or being unable to find one, barriers to employment are some of the most common. Algorithm-driven resume reviews, antiquated hiring processes, unconscious biases and other factors can make landing a quality job feel impossible.

We at TAC are vigorously dedicated to helping people find meaningful employment. We educate and enable with a variety of resources for different and specific communities. You’re likely to know someone who would benefit from one of our employment courses, or in the coming months, our small business startup classes. Don’t hesitate to share us with a friend or a small business looking for staff – or help us help others with a financial contribution!

Meanwhile, our partners at Talents ASCEND spring your knowledge and skills into action, matching your job preferences with exactly what a potential employer is looking for. This skills-based hiring approach removes many of the traditional obstacles, making the process more efficient for aspiring employees and growing employers across the country!

These various efforts actively engage with our indirect goal of bringing down houselessness in our communities.
