James “Jay” McCabe

Executive Director

James served as a Military Intelligence Officer in the Army, focusing on strategic analysis and leadership. He holds an MBA from Centenary College of Louisiana’s Frost School of Business and was honored as a distinguished military graduate from Texas A&M University-Central Texas.

He was a guest lecturer for the USARMY War College, sharing insights on military intelligence and strategy and received the Military Intelligence Corps Association Knowlton Award for his contributions.

His writings have been featured in Military Review and Infantry Magazine, reflecting his commitment to sharing knowledge and advancing military discourse.

Founder and Talents ASCEND CEO

Founded by Robyn Grable, US Navy Veteran and Talent Acquisition Professional. Following nine years of service, Robyn was told her civilian career would have to start at the bottom because her skills from the military wouldn’t translate.

Although it took her several years to climb back up, the experience left her with the drive and determination to ensure the same thing did not continue to happen for veterans, military spouses, people with disabilities and justice involved candidates.

She created Veterans ASCEND in 2018 which expanded to what we are today, Talents ASCEND. We are the beacon of intentional change, bringing forth skills based hiring powered by AI matching to employers and candidates.
